Sailing and Powerboating school registrants who cancel 30 days prior to the class date can request a full refund, less a 10% materials fee. Registrants who cancel/reschedule 29 days or less prior to the class date will not be refunded but issued a gift card for the class price paid (not including service fees), less a 50% materials and cancellation fee, to be applied to a future available class date within two seasons of purchase. Class materials are non-returnable. ACH, and major credit cards accepted.
Sail Days are non-refundable and not able to be rescheduled.

Reservations for charters and overnight stays will be fully refunded if cancelled 30 days before your scheduled charter/stay. Clients may cancel online, via email or phone to Black Pearl Charters. For cancellations of 29 days of less, 50% of your charter will be refunded or can be applied to a gift card. Charters paying with a gift certificate can reschedule the charter to a later date.
In the event Black Pearl Charters cancels for any reason, the registrant may choose to receive a full refund of the amount paid or reschedule your charter. Erie Islands Sailing School is dedicated to promoting sailing education through a series of standards developed by ASA beginning with Keelboat 1 (ASA 101), Keelboat 2 (ASA 102) followed by Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103), Bareboat Chartering (ASA 104), Coastal Navigation (ASA 105), and Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106) certifications. We also offer the Catamaran Cruising (ASA 114) and Docking (ASA 118) endorsements.
In addition to ASA Certification classes, we also offer private lessons, new boat owner orientation, sunset cruises, boat deliveries, boat moves, and team building events.
All Instructors with Erie Islands Sailing School hold US Coast Guard Captain’s licenses and are Certified Sailing Instructors with the American Sailing Association.
